How To Maximize the Credit Card Rebates

Everyone loves credit card rebates. You can get free airline tickets, and make money by buying basic needs.

About 80% of cardholders in the U.S. has at least one reward credit card.

To maximize the credit card rebates I will share with you some tips to receive hundreds of dollars in cash, and gift cards every year for just using your credit card for everyday purchases.

My girlfriend and I usually get $800 to $1,000 back annually simply by using a credit card to buy groceries and gasoline.

When you discover the joys of having one, I guarantee you will never use a card that returns you nothing back again.

Today, bankers have to fight to give you money by offering you rebates through credit cards so you have to know how to play their game to make money.

If you’re currently getting a piece of the pie, let’s work together to get you a bigger slice in the future.

  • airline reward cards
  • gas rebate cards
  • any other reward cards

Tip 1. Pay off the balance in full each month

The first trick is you have to pay off the balance in full each and every month. Never carry a balance if you want to maximize the credit card rebates.

The interest you will be charged is more than the rewards. The interest is usually from 16% to 24% while the cash reward is from 1% to 5% based on the credit card you are using.

It is common to see credit card companies like Chase or Citi bank offer up to 5$ reward on specific purchases like gasoline, or groceries.

Consider getting 3% to 5% back just for using a specific type of plastic.

That’s more than we usually earn on our bank savings!

Furthermore, we must pay taxes on the money we save in our savings accounts.

Card rebates, on the other hand, are generally tax-free. So if your cashback is $1000, it is tax-free.

Just remember to pay your credit card balance in full each month!

Tip 2. Please, do not spend more than you earn

If you borrow money to buy liabilities, stop.

If you don’t have money to spend, stop using credit cards.

Overspending is perhaps the most dangerous trap you can fall into.

According to studies, most consumers spend more on a reward credit card than on a non-reward card.

Tip number two: Do not spend more than you earn. Avoid overspending by having a monthly budget.

Tip 3: pick the reward card based on the purchase

If you want to buy groceries, pick the credit cards that have 5% grocery cash back.

I like American Express Blue Cash, but the cons are the $95 annual fee and some groceries store do not accept the Amex card.

That’s why I have my AMEX and Chase Freedom Flex when going to buy groceries.

The Chase Freedom Flex has 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in bonus categories.

It also has 5% cash back on travel purchases through Chase Ultimate Rewards.

If you like to dine at a restaurant, the card offers 3% cash back.

56% of Americans favor cash-back credit cards, while 23% prefer air miles.

An estimated 12% preferred points as their preferred reward, while only 9% preferred automatic rebates or discounts.

In conclusion, to maximize your reward you need to:

  • Do not carry a balance.
  • Stop overspending.
  • Pick the card based on your purchase.
